Grilled Parmesan Breadsticks

- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan Cheese (2 oz)
- 1 1/4 tsps dried Italian seasoning, crushed
- 1/4 tsp crushed red pepper
- 8 purchased soft breadsticks
- 3 tbsps butter, melted

Step 1
In a shallow dish stir together the Parmesan Cheese, Italian Seasoning, and crushed red pepper. Brush breadsticks with butter. Roll each breadstick in the cheese mixture to coat.
For a charcoal grill, grill breadsticks on the rack of an uncovered grill directly over medium coals for 2 to 3 minutes or until golden, turning to brown evenly. For a gas grill, preheat grill, reduce heat to medium. Place breadsticks on grill rack over heat. Grill as above. Serve warm.
Variation
Grilled Greek Breadsticks: Prepare as above, except use grated Romano Cheese in place of the Parmesan, use Mediterranean seasoning in place of Italian Seasoning, omit the crushed red pepper and add 1/2 tsp finely shredded lemon peel to the cheese mixture.
