Fresh Marinara a la Buca di Beppo

Ingredients

  • 2 Tbsp olive oil
  • 1/2 red onion, chopped
  • 3 garlic cloves, chopped
  • 28 oz crushed tomatoes
  • salt to taste
  • 1 1/2 Tbsp fresh basil, chopped

Preparation

Step 1

Saute and garlic and onion in olive oil for 8 - 10 minutes. Add tomatoes and salt. Bring to boil and then turn down to low and cook for 30 minutes. Remove from heat and add basil.
