Ingredients

  • 1 pound round or flank steak, sliced 1/4" thick
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 1 green pepper, cut in strips
  • 1 onion, cut in strips
  • 1 clove garlic
  • 1 cup water or bouillon or half cup of each
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 1/2 teaspoon ginger, optional
  • Hot rice

Step 1

Cut steak in strips and toss with soy sauce. Brown on one side. Add green pepper, garlic and onions; stir and cook until meat is brown. Combine water and cornstarch. Add to meat along with ginger. Cook over medium heat unil peppers are tender and sauce is thickened.
Serve over rice.
