Step 1

Dissolve 1 yeast cake in 1/4 cup lukewarm water and add 1 teaspoon sugar. In bowl put 1/3 cup sugar, 1/2 cup butter flavored Crisco or (1 stick oleo) and 1 egg slightly beaten. Add one cup warm water, beat and add dissolved yeast cake. Beat in 4 cups flour and 1 teaspoon salt. Let rise. Press down when doubled in bulk and roll out or put into refrigerator and make out as needed. Bake at 400deg F.
