Ingredients
- 3 eggs
- 1 cup white sugar
- 1/4 cup butter, melted
- 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
- 1 cup milk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
- 1 recipe pastry for a 9 inch single crust pie
Preparation
Step 1
Bake pie shell at 400 degrees F for 5 minutes. Set aside.
Combine melted butter or margarine, sugar, flour, milk, vanilla, and nutmeg. Add beaten eggs, and blend well. Pour filling into partially baked pie shell.
Bake at 325 degrees F for 45 to 55 minutes, or until an inserted knife comes out clean. Do not overcook.
