Bacon Wrapped Cream Cheese Jalapenos

Ingredients

  • 15-20 jalapeno peppers {my jalapenos were pretty big}
  • 1 pound mild sausage
  • 12 ounces cream cheese, softened {I used 1 1/2 blocks}
  • 1/2 cup shredded mexican blend cheese
  • 1 pound sliced bacon {slices cut in half}

Preparation

Step 1

Split peppers. De-vein and de-seed.

In a medium bowl, place cream cheese and shredded cheese. Brown sausage, drain well.

Pour sausage over cheeses to melt them. Mix with your hands {it’s easier than with a spoon.}.

Stuff jalapenos with the cheese and sausage mixture being careful not to overfill. Wrap with slices of bacon.

Bake at 375 for 35-40 minutes until browned and bacon is done.
