Tea Biscuits

Ingredients

  • 2 cups flour
  • 2 Tbsp sugar
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 4 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp cream of tarter
  • 1/2 c butter/marg
  • 1 cup milk

Preparation

Step 1

Mix first 5 ingredients in a bowl

Using a pastry blade cut butter into mixture until crumbly

Pour in milk. Stir quickly to combine. dough should be soft. Turn out onto lightly floured surface and knead 8-10 times

Pat down to 1/2 - 3/4 inch think or half the thickness you want your bisquits.

Cut with small round cookie cutter, place on greased cookie sheet touching for soft sides.

Bake at 450*F for 12-15 minutes
Brushing with milk prior to baking will produce a brown top
