Pan Seared Brussel Sprouts w/Pancetta

Ingredients

  • 20-25 Brussel Sprouts
  • 2 Tbsp butter (you can also use garlic butter if you like it)
  • 1 small onion diced
  • 1/2 cup Pancetta diced
  • 3 cloves minced garlic
  • 1/4 cup white wine or chicken stock
  • Salt
  • Pepper
  • Shredded Parmesan Cheese

Step 1

Wash brussel sprouts, cut off ends then cut sprout in half or quarters if large. Set aside.

In skillet add butter and melt. Add diced onion and pancetta and sautee until rendered down. Add garlic and stir until aromatic. Add in brussel sprouts along with salt and pepper to taste. Stir to mix everything together. Sautee over medium to medium low heat until butter evaporates. Add white wine or chicken stock and stir. Cover and let simmer for 30 minutes or until desired tenderness. Sprinkle parmesan cheese over top and let melt. Serve.
