Ingredients
- 1/4 cup packed brown sugar
- 3 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 teaspoon ground ginger
- 1 teaspoon crushed red pepper
- 1 pound chicken breast, cubed
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil, divided
- 1 pound broccoli, cut into bite-sized pieces
- 1/2 cup chicken broth, divided
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
- Sesame seeds, optional

Step 1
In zip-lock bag, combine sugar, soy sauce, ginger and pepper. Add chicken to coat. Cover and marinate for 2 hours or overnight. In large skillet or wok, stir-fry broccoli in 1 tablespoon hot oil over medium-high heat for 1 minute. Add 1/4 cup broth, cover and steam 1 minute. Remove broccoli. Stir-fry chicken in 1 tablespoon hot oil until cooked, 3 - 5 minutes. Add broccoli. Combin cornstarch and remaining 1/4 cup broth; stir into chicken mixture. Stir-fry just until hot and sauce is thickened and glossy. Serve over rice.
