One of the Davis family holiday cookie recipes
The first couple batches usually gets eaten pretty immediately.

Ingredients
- 1 cup soft butter
- 1/2 lb ( 1 8 oz pkg) cream cheese
- 2 cups flour
- 1/4 t salt
- jelly apricot , of course
- currant or some darker jelly
- finely chopped walnuts
Preparation
Step 1
Cream butter and cream cheese together.
Blend in flour and salt with fingers. Handle dough as little as possible.
Chill until firm.
Roll out dough to 1/8 "
Cut with fluted dough cutter. into 2" square.
Bake @ 400 degrees for 8 minutes.
Scrape or wash cookie sheet between batches to avoid burning the jelly runoff in subsequent batches. If the jelly burns and hardens, it really is a lengthy mess to clean.
