Ingredients
- Melt together:
- 4 oz hard marg/butter
- 4 oz sugar
- 6 oz syrup
- 1 lightly beaten egg and 7 fl oz milk ) together
- Sieve together 8oz SR flour, 1 tsp bicarb, 2 tsp ginger, 1/2 tsp mixed spice.
Preparation
Step 1
Mix together dry ingredients into syrup mixture.
Turn into a greased and lined tin, cook for 3/4 hr gas 4 (350?) Best kept in tin for two days before use.
Large;
8 oz marg, 8 oz sugar, 14 oz syrup, 12 oz (poss 14) milk, 2 eggs, 1lb flour, 3 tsp ginger, 2 bicarb, 1 mixed spice, cook for 1 hour.
