    stick unsalted butter, room temperature

    oz cream cheese, room temperature

    tbs sugar

  • ½

    tsp vanilla

  • tsp salt

    egg yolk

  • 1

    cup flour plus 2 tbs


1. using electric mixer, cream butter, cream cheese and suagr on high speed for 3 minutes 2. Add vanilla,egg yolk and slat and mix on low speed until blended. Mix in flour until incorporated. 3. Half the dough in half, pat into discks and wrap in plastic wrap;refrigerate for 30 minutes 4.Preheat oven to 375.Line cookie sheets with parchment paper. Place dough between two floured parchment papers and roll to 1/4" thick. 5. Cut dough with a 3" inch christmas tree cutter and place on cookie sheets two inches apart. Gather dough scraps and form into a disk. Refrigerate 15 minutes and then roll out remaing dough as above 6.Sprinkle the cookies with sanding sugar. Bake until golden brown 12-15 minutes. Cool slightly on cookie sheets, then with thin metal spatula transfet to wire rack to complete cooling 7. Place in a airtight container with waxed paper between layers
