Ingredients

    tsp Vanilla

  • 4

    Cups Flour

  • 6

    Eggs

  • ½

    Cup Crisco Shortening

  • Cup Sugar

  • 1

    Pinch Salt

  • 1

    tsp Baking Powder

Directions

1. Heat Oil in a deep fryer or a large pot. 2. Mix eggs, vanilla, shortening, and sugar together. 3. Add flour and baking powder and salt to mix, kneading the dough (keep adding additional flour as necessary; you will use more than 4 cups. 4. When dough is ready, roll into 1 inch thick ropes. 5. Cut into small pieces and fry in oil. Add honey and sprinkle decorations prior to serving.
