NO BOIL LASAGNA

Connie's recipe. I got lazy and just decided to not pre-boil the lasagna noodles. Worked out just fine :-)
Ingredients
- 1 lb. pkg. lasagna noodles
- 62 oz. spaghetti sauce
- 1-1/2 lbs. ground beef
- 1 cup water
- 32 oz. ricotta cheese
- 24 oz. mozzarella cheese
- 1/3 cup water
- 1/2 cup parmesan cheese
- 1/2 cup parsley flakes
- salt and pepper to taste
- 2 eggs, beaten
Preparation
Step 1
Preheat oven to 375F. In saucepan, brown ground beef, drain excess fat. Add spaghetti sauce and 1 cup water. Bring to boil. In large bowl, mix ricotta cheese, beaten egg, mozzarella cheese, 1/3 cup water, 1/4 cup parmesan cheese, parsley flakes, salt and pepper.
TO ASSEMBLE: Use lasagna strips, uncooked, BUT rinsed in hot water, before layering in baking pan. Layer as follows: sauce, noodles, cheese mixture, sauce. Continue to layer, ending with noodles, sauce on top with remaining parmesan cheese.
Bake at 375F covered with foil for 40 minutes. Remove foil and bake for 15 minutes. Let stand 5 to 10 minutes before cutting.
