Christmas White Fudge

Ingredients

  • 2 1/4 cups gran. sugar
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 2 tbls. butter
  • 1 tbls. light karo syrup
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 2 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 cup chopped nuts
  • 1/3 cup chopped cherries (candied)

Preparation

Step 1

Combine sugar, sour cream, milk, butter, karo syrup and salt in a pan. Stir over mod. heat until dissolced and bring to a boil. Boil for about 9 or 10 min. (about 238 degrees or soft ball stage-remove from heat and cool for 1 hour-add vanilla and beat until it starts to loose gloss (not any longer). Quickly add nuts and cherries and press into buttered pan.
Cut into small squares as it is very rich.
