Beef and Potato Bake

Ingredients

• 4 cups frozen hashed browned potatoes, thawed
• 3 tblsp veg. Oil
• 1/8 tsp pepper
• 1 lb. ground beef
• 1 pkg brown gravy mix
• 1 cup water
• 1/2 tsp. garlic salt
• 10oz pkg frozen mixed vegetables
• 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
• 1 can French fried onions

Preparation

Step 1

In shallow 1 1/2 qt baking dish, combine potatoes, oil, and pepper. Firmly press mixture across bottom and up sides of dish. Bake uncovered @400 foe 15 minutes.
Brown beef, drain, stir in gravy mix and garlic salt. Bring to a boil, add mixed veg, reduce heat to medium and cook for 5 min. Stir in 1/2 cup cheese and 1/2 can fried onions. Place in shell, bake uncovered @ 350 for 15 minutes.sprinkle with remaining cheese and onion and bake 5 min. longer.
