Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups Quaker old fashioned rolled oats
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened to room temperature
  • 1/12 cups sugar
  • 1 lg. egg
  • 2 tsp. vanilla extract
  • 1 1/2 cups flour
  • 2 tsp. cream of tartar
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. baking soda
  • 2 1/2 tsp. ground cinnamon
  • 1 Tbsp. Quaker oats
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1 tsp. cinnamon

Step 1

Line 3 large cooking sheets with parchment paper. Cream the butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Mix in the egg and vanilla. In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, oats, cream of tartar baking sods, salt and cinnamon. Slowly blend the dry ingredients into the butter mixture. Chill the dough for 30-45 minutes. Preheat oven to 250. In a small bowl, mix the topping ingredients. Roll 1 rounded Tbsp. of dough into a ball and roll the balls into the cinnamon-sugar-oat topping. Bake cookies about 10-12 minutes. Cool for about 10 minutes.
