Green Beans with Carmelized Shallots

  • 1 lb green beans, trimmed
  • 2 TB butter
  • 4 medium shallots, thinly slices
  • salt
  • pepper
  • 1 tsp lemon zest

Preparation

Step 1

Steam green beans until tender, about 5 minutes.

Melt butter in skillet over medium heat. Add shallots and cook, stirring often, until golden, about 5 minutes. Add green beans and toss. Season with salt and pepper. Sprinkle with zest.
