Ingredients
- 1 1/2 lbs asparagus spears, trimmed
- olive oil
- black pepper
- 4 slices center cut bacon or pancetta
- chopped chives, optional
Preparation
Step 1
Preheat oven to 400.
Lightly coat asparagus spears in olive oil. Season with black pepper. Divide total number of spears by four. Gather that number of spears and use a slice of bacon to wrap the bundle and secure spears together. Repeat. Place in slotted broiler pan and bake 12 minutes.
