Ingredients

  • Dashi:
  • 1 pkg (1 tbsp) Hon Dashi
  • 4 cups boiling water
  • ¼ cup soy sauce
  • ¾ tsp. ajinomoto (MSG)
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • ½ cup sugar
  • Shiitake mushrooms
  • Kanpyo
  • Carrot
  • Celery

Preparation

Step 1

Boil water and add seasonings.
Soak mushrooms in hot water for 20 minutes. Squeeze out moisture and remove stems. Cook in dashi for 10 minutes and cut into strips.
Rub kanpyo with salt and soak in water for 10 minutes. Cook in dashi until tender.
Cut carrot into 1/2 strips and cook in dashi until tender.
Blanch celery strips in dashi.
