Ingredients
- 1 lb fresh cranberries
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup water
- 1/4 cup orange juice
- 6 tablespoons Grand Marnier
- 2/3 cup pecans -- coarsely chopped
Preparation
Step 1
Wash and pick over cranberries.
Combine in heavy saucepan, cranberries with sugar, water, and orange juice.
Bring to a boil; reduce heat, and cook at a gentle boil until most of the cranberries have popped.(Don't wait until all have popped or the cranberries will become too soft.) Remove from heat.
Stir in Grand Marnier, and chill.
A couple of hours before serving, stir in the pecans.
This dish may be made up to a week in advance.
Makes 16 servings.
