Red Cabbage

Ingredients

  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 1 apple -- peeled and sliced
  • 1/2 onion -- chopped finely
  • 1/2 medium red cabbage -- finely chopped
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 1/4 cup red wine
  • vinegar, sugar, salt, pepper

Preparation

Step 1



Heat butter, and brown apples and onions in it.
Add cabbage, wine, and water. Cook in covered pan until done.
Season to taste with vinegar, sugar, salt, pepper.
