- 1 (10-ounce) package frozen strawberry halves in syrup
- 1/2 cup fat-free strawberry frozen yogurt or strawberry sorbet
- 8 (2.5-ounce) freezer-pop molds
- 1 cup low-fat milk
- 8 freezer-pop sticks
Preparation
Step 1
Partially thaw berries at room temperature for 10 minutes or microwave on
high for 10 seconds.
Place partially frozen strawberries with liquid in
container of a blender. Add milk and frozen yogurt. Cover and blend until
smooth. Pour into freezer-pop molds.
Place freezer-pop sticks in centers.
Freeze until firm. Yield: 8 servings.
Tips
Make red, white and blue milksicles.
For blue pops, substitute frozen
strawberry halves with 1 (10-ounce) package frozen blueberries in syrup.
Substitute strawberry frozen yogurt with berry-flavored frozen yogurt or
sorbet.
For white pops, omit frozen strawberry halves. Increase milk to 11/2
cups. Substitute 1/2 cup strawberry frozen yogurt with 1 cup of vanilla
frozen yogurt or vanilla sorbet.
