Ice Box Cookies

Ingredients

  • 2 3/4 cups flour
  • 3/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 cup soft butter
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar -- packed
  • 2/3 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 2 large eggs -- beaten
  • 1/2 cup nuts -- chopped

Preparation

Step 1

Sift flour, salt, and soda together. Cream butter and add sugars.
Blend in eggs, one at a time.
Add dry ingredients in three portions.
Add vanilla, and nuts.
Place on 2 sheets of wax paper and roll into 2" rolls.
Place in refrigerator for up to 5-6 days.
Cut and bake on baking sheet 1" apart.
Bake 8-10 minutes.
Store in airtight container.
