Ingredients

  • AUNT EDITHS TOPPING:
  • 4 c. flour
  • 2 c. sugar
  • 1 c. cocoa
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 1 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 1/2 tsp cloves
  • 1 c. milk
  • 1/2 c. oil
  • -If desired, add 1 1/2 tsp flavoring, orange peel, nuts.
  • 1 c. confectionary sugar
  • 1/2 c. cocoa
  • tbs butter
  • 1/4 c. milk
  • teaspoon vanilla

Preparation

Step 1

- Mix dry ingredients. Make a well in center.
- Add milk and oil, and mix.
- If dough is hard, add about 1/4 c. water
- Shape into balls or small, low loaves (slice warm)

Oven at 350 for 15 minutes.

May be coated with a thin icing.
