Ingredients
- 4 t. canola oil (or safflower or sunflower oil)
- 4 tart green apples, peeled, cored, and cut into small chunks
- 1 1/2 t. ground cinnamon
- 3 T. pure maple syrup
- 1/2 cup all-natural granola, lightly toasted
Preparation
Step 1
1. Place a medium saute pan over medium heat; add the oil and heat through. Add the apples and cook, stirring often, until golden brown and beginning to soften, about 3 to 5 minutes.
2. Add the cinnamon and maple syrup, and continue cooking until the apples are tender when pierced with the tip of a small, sharp knife, about 5 to 8 minutes more.
3. Divide the hot apples amongst four small bowls. Sprinkle 2 T. of the granola over each, and serve immediately.
