Ingredients
- 1 cup yellow cornmeal
- 1 cup flour
- 1 Tbsp. sugar
- 2 1/2 teas. baking powder
- 1/3 tea. salt
- 1/4 cup salad oil (approx.)
- 1 egg, beaten to blend
- 1 can (8 1/2 oz) cream style corn
- 1/2 cup. plain nonfat yogurt
- 1/2 cup shredded jack cheese
- 2 Tbsp. minced habanero chilies
- 2 Tbsp. minced green Anaheim chilies
Preparation
Step 1
In a large bowl, combined cornmeal, flour, sugar, baking powder and salt.
In another bowl,beat to blend oil, egg, corn, yogurt, cheese and chilies. Add to dry ingreaients, stir until evenly moistened.
Pour batter into an oiled 8x8 baking dish. Bake 375 degrees until golden brown and begins to pull from pan sides (30-35 minutes)
Cut bread into squares and serve warm.
