Ingredients
- Aunt Mary’s Pecan Pie
- 3 jumbo size eggs, slightly beaten
- 2/3 cup white sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 1 cup light corn syrup
- 1 cup pecans, chopped
- 1 unbaked pastry shell, in Pyrex/Corningware
Preparation
Step 1
Heat together in microwave, 2 tablespoons butter and 1 cup light corn syrup
Slightly beat eggs and 2/3 cup white sugar and 1 teaspoon vanilla. Mix egg mixture with warm syrup mix.
Put in 1 cup chopped pecans into unbaked pie crust. Pour mixture over pecans, decorate top with 8 perfect pecan halves. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Put empty metal pie pan upside down in oven and place pie over it.
Bake at 350 degrees for 15 minutes, and lower to 325 for 15 minutes. Finish cooking at 300 until totally set.
