Peanut Butter Cookies

Cookie sheet...Preheated oven-375 degrees...Baking time-15-18 minutes.

Makes 4 dozen small cookies.

Ingredients

• 3 C. Flour, Sifted Before Measuring
• 2 t. Soda
• 1/4 t. Salt
• 1 C. Shortening
• 1 C. Granulated Sugar
• 1 C. Brown Sugar
• 2 Eggs, Beaten
• 1 C. Peanut Butter
• 1 t. Vanilla

Preparation

Step 1

1. Sift Flour once with Soda and Salt.

2. Cream Shortening, Granulated Sugar, and Brown Sugar together. Add beaten Eggs and mix until smooth. Add Peanut Butter, stir well.

3. Add Flour Mixture to Shortening mixture and mix to a stiff batter. Add Vanilla. Form into tiny balls and press onto a greased cookie sheet. Press with back of fork to make a waffle design. Bake @ 375.

4. Transfer cookies to a wire rack immediately after baking, to cool.
