Ingredients
- 3 cups (12 oz.) shredded sharp cheddar cheese
- 1 can (28 oz) diced tomatoes, drained
- 1 lb. bulk Italian sausage, cooked and crumbled
- 4 green onions, thinly sliced
- 1/4 cup minced fresh basil (or 1 Tbsp. dried)
- 1/4 cup packed brown sugar
- 1 tea. dried oregano
- 1 tea. garlic powder
- 3 cups cubed French bread
- 6 eggs
- 1 1/2 cups heavy whipping cream
- 1/2 tea. salt
- 1/2 tea. pepper
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
Preparation
Step 1
In a large bowl, combine the first 8 ingredients. Stir in bread. Transfer to a greased 9x13 baking dish.
In the same bowl, whisk eggs, cream, salt and pepper; pour over bread mixture. Sprinkle with Parmeasan.
Bake at 350 degrees for 45-50 degrees or until a knife inserted near center comes out clean.
