Canadian Cheese Soup

Ingredients

  • 1/2 C carrot, finely chopped
  • 1/4 C celery, finely chopped
  • 1/4 C onion, finely chopped
  • 2 T butter
  • 1/4 C flour
  • 2 C milk
  • 1 1/2 C chicken broth
  • dash paprika
  • 1 1/2 C sharp American, shredded

Preparation

Step 1

In saucepan, combine carrot, celery, onion and butter. Cover and cook over low heat until vegetables are tender. Stir in flour. Add milk, chicken broth and paprika. Cook and stir until thick and bubbly. Stir in cheese until melted. DO NOT BOIL.
