Orange Creamsicle cupcakes

Ingredients

  • 1.5 cups cake flour
  • 1.5 cups flour
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 1 tbsp baking powder
  • 3/4 tsp salt
  • 2 sticks butter, room temp, in pieces
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 1 tsp orange extract
  • 1 tbsp orange zest

Preparation

Step 1

Mix flours, sugar, baking powder and salt in mixer. Add zest and butter pieces, blend until coated. Meanwhile, whisk eggs, milk, and both extracts in separate bowl. Add liquid mix to dry mix in 3 parts, blending well after each addition.
Preheat oven to 325 degrees, and bake for 15-18 minutes.
