Meringue Cookies

Ingredients

  • 2 egg whites
  • 1/4 tsp cream of tartar
  • 1/8 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/4 tsp peppermint extract
  • 1/4 tsp green food colour
  • sprinkles

Preparation

Step 1

Beat egg whites and cream of tartar until very stiff. Very slowly, add salt and sugar, continually beating on high speed. Beat in flavour and colour. Drop by spoonful on parchment lined cookie sheet or pipe on with a pastry bag. Bake 1 hour at 225F.
