Cherry-Port Cranberry Sauce

Ingredients

  • 2 cups fresh cranberries (about 8 ounces) $$
  • 3/4 cup dried sweetened cherries
  • 3/4 cup port wine
  • 1/3 cup brown sugar $
  • 1 tablespoon red wine vinegar
  • 1/4 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper $

Preparation

Step 1

1. Bring all ingredients to a boil in a medium saucepan over medium-high heat, stirring until sugar melts. Reduce heat to medium-low; simmer 5 minutes or until cranberries begin to pop. Cool slightly before serving.
