Ingredients
- 1 c. salad oil
- 2 c. sugar
- 2 eggs
- 2 1/2 c. flour
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 3 c finely chopped apples
- 1 cup nuts (walnuts or pecans)
- OR 1/2 c coconut with 1/2 tsp vanilla
- 6 oz butterscotch chips
Preparation
Step 1
Preheat oven 350.
Beat together oil, sugar, and eggs, and set aside.
Sift together, flour, salt, baking soda, cinnamon, and baking powder.
Add dry ingredients to first mixture and stir.
Add apples.
Add EITHER nuts or coconut/vanilla.
Spread into greased/floured 9x13 pan. Spread butterscotch chips on top of cake.
Bake 35 to 40 mintues. Cool in pan.
