Shoyu Chicken IP

Ingredients

  • Chicken thighs 4 - 5 lbs
  • 2 cup shoyu
  • 2 cup brown sugar
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 onion chopped
  • 3-6 cloves garlic minced
  • 2 tbsp grated ginger
  • 1 tbsp black pepper, oregano
  • 1 tsp paprika, crushed red pepper, cayenne pepper.

Preparation

Step 1

Rinse chicken thighs, pat down to dry. Place in IP. I use the 6 qt.

Mix remaining ingredients in a large bowl and pour over chicken. Set to pressure cook for 14 minutes. Once done, natural release pressure valve. Remove chicken thighs from IP to a serving dish.

Using saute feature, bring liquid to a boil; add cornstarch and water mixture to thicken gravy.
