Ingredients
- 1 lb Ground Beef
- 1/2 lb Italian Sausage
- 1 Onion,Chopped
- 1 Green Bell Peppers,Chopped
- 1/2 lb Mushroom,Sliced
- 1 T Minced Garlic
- 2 T Olive Oil
- 15 Tomatoes
- 6 cn No Salt Added Tomato Paste
- 2 T Oregano
- 1 T Basil
- 2 T Parsley
- 1/2 c Red Wine
Preparation
Step 1
Crumble beef and sausage into a large skillet.
Add onions, pepper and mushrooms.
Cook until meat is done. Immerse tomatoes in boiling water for about 30 seconds.
Drain, peel and chop finely.
In a large Dutch oven, sauté garlic powder in olive oil until lightly browned, about 2 minutes.
Add tomatoes, tomato paste, spices, wine and meat/veggie mixture.
Simmer slowly until desired thickness, 1 to 2 hours.
