Ingredients

    cups all-purpose flour

  • cups white sugar

    tsp. salt

    tsp. baking powder

  • 2

    tsp. ground cinnamon

  • cup vegetable oil

  • 2

    eggs

  • cup milk

  • 3

    apples - peeled, cored, and grated

  • ½

    cup white sugar

  • cup all-purpose flour

  • ½

    cup butter, cubed

  • tsp. ground cinnamon

  • 1

    bag caramel candy squares

Directions

Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Grease a 12 cup cupcake pan or line with paper muffin liners. Stir together 3 cups flour, 1 1/2 cups sugar, salt, baking powder, and 2 tsp. cinnamon. Mix in oil, eggs, and milk. Fold in apples. Stick a caramel candy square on the baking stick in each well. Spoon the batter into the prepared muffin cups, filling each to the top. In a small bowl, stir together 1/2 cup sugar, 2/3 cups flour, butter, and 1 1/2 tsp. cinnamon. Mix together with a fork and sprinkle over the unbaked muffins. Bake at 375 degress for 20 - 25 minutes.
