Hershey Kiss Cookie

Peanut Butter cookie with Hershey Kiss topping

Ingredients

• 1 3/4 cup Flour
• 1 tsp Baking Soda
• 1/2 tsp Salt
• 1/2 cup Shortening (sue uses margarine)
• 1/2 cup Peanut Butter
• 1/2 cup Brown Sugar
• 1/2 cup granulated Sugar
• 1 unbeaten egg
• 2 tablespoon whole milk
• 1 tsp vanilla
• 1 bag Hershey Kisses
• extra sugar to roll dough in

Preparation

Step 1

Pre-heat oven to 375 degrees. Sift together flour, baking soda and salt. In another bowl cream shortening, peanut butter and both sugars. Add egg, milk,and vanilla, mix well. Blend in dry ingredients. Shape into balls and roll in sugar. Place on ungreased cookie sheet for about 8 minutes. They flatten out as they bake so leave enough room between each ball. remove from oven, put a chocolate kiss in the center of each, pressing down a bit. return to oven for 1-2 minutes - until chocolate melts a little. Makes about 40 medium size cookies.
