Chocolate Orange cupcakes

like Terry's chocolate orange at Xmas.

Ingredients

• 1 1/4 cups flour
• 1/2 cup cocoa powder
• 1/2 tsp baking soda
• 1/4 tsp salt
• 1 stick butter, room temp
• 1 1/4 cup sugar
• 1 tsp vanilla
• 2 eggs
• 1 cup milk
• 1 tsp orange extract
• 1 tbsp orange zest, finely grated

Preparation

Step 1

Whisk dry ingredients together. Beat butter in mixer until fluffy. Add sugar, beat well. Add eggs, one at a time. Add both extracts and zest, beat well. Add flour mix and milk in 3 turns, alternating. Batter will be very liquid.
Preheat oven to 350 degrees, bake for 15-17 minutes.
