Ingredients
- 4 Eggs, slightly beaten
- 4 cups scalded milk
- 1 cup sugar
- 3/4 cups Grape Nuts
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla
- Ground Nutmeg
Preparation
Step 1
Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
Wisk eggs, sugar and vanilla in a medium mixing bowl.
Gradually add scalded milk to egg mixture, mixing thoroughly.
Sprinkle Grape Nuts on the bottom of a 2-quart casserole baking dish.
Slowly pour egg custard mixture over the Grape Nuts.
Sprinkle top of egg custard with ground nutmeg.
Place a pan of hot water in the oven.
Bake for 45-50 minutes, or until a knife inserted in the center of the custard comes out clean.
