Green Onion Biscuits

Ingredients

  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 tbsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/3 cup finely sliced green onions
  • 3/4 cup cold unsalted butter, grated
  • 1 3/4 cups 35% cream

Preparation

Step 1

PREHEAT oven to 450F.

STIR flour with baking powder, salt and green onions in a medium bowl. Season with fresh pepper. Stir in grated butter. Add cream, stirring mixture with a fork, until it starts to come together. Transfer dough onto a floured surface and pat into a 1-in.-thick circle. Cut into 7 3-in. rounds with a cookie cutter or drinking glass; then roll scraps together and form into 1 more biscuit. Arrange on a baking sheet.

BAKE in centre of oven until top of biscuits are dark golden, about 15 minutes.

Serve with Old Bay butter.
