Ingredients
- 4 oz. white chocolate
- 1/2 cub boiling water
- 1 cup butter
- 2 cups sugar
- 4 egg yolks, unbeaten
- 4 eggs whites, stiffly beaten
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 2 1/2 cups sifted cake flour
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1 cup butter milk
Preparation
Step 1
Melt chocolate in boiling water. Cool. Cream cutter and sugar until fluffy. Add egg yolks, one at a time, and beat well after each. Add melted Chocolate and vanilla. Mix well. Sift together flour, salt, and soda. Add alternately with buttermilk to chocolate mixture; beat well until smooth. Fold in whites. Pour in 3 deep 8 or 9 inch pans, lined on bottom with paper. Bake for 30 mins at 350.
Ice with white chocolate icing.
