Ingredients
- 3 tblsp butter
- 1/2 cup chopped onion
- 3 tblsp flour
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp pepper
- 1 cup chicken broth
- 1 cup light cream (20%)
- 2 cups cubed cooked turkey
- 1 cup each, sliced carrots, cubed potatoes & sliced mushrooms
- 3/4 cup frozen peas
Preparation
Step 1
Melt butter in a large saucepan over low heat. Add chopped onion & cook until softened. Blend in flour, salt & pepper. Cook over low heat, stirring until mixture is smooth & bubbly. Remove from heat. Stir in chicken broth & cream. Heat to boiling, stirring constantly. Boil & stir 1 minute. Stir in turkey & vegetables.
Pour into lined pastry dish. Cover with second crust. Bake at 425º for 35-40 minutes or until bubbling and golden brown.
