Ingredients
- 1 package (8 oz) cream cheese
- 1 egg, unbeaten
- 1/3 cup sugar
- 1/8 tsp salt
- 1 package (6 oz) chocolate morsels, semi-sweet
- 1 cup pecans, chopped
- 1 1/2 cups all purpose flour
- 1 cup sugar
- 1/4 cup powdered cocoa
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 cup water
- 1/3 cup salad oil
- 1 tsp vinegar
- 1 tsp vanilla
Preparation
Step 1
1) Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
2) Cream together the cream cheese, egg, sugar, and salt; fold in the chocolate chips and nuts and set the mixture aside.
3) In a mixing bowl, combine the flour, sugar, cocoa, soda, and salt. Seperately mix together the water, oil, vinegar, and vanilla. Add the liquid mixture to the dry ingredients. Mix well.
4) Place paper baking cups in medium sized muffin pans. Fill each cup 1/3 full with the chocolate batter. Drop a spoonful of the cream cheese mixture on the top. Bake at 350 degrees for 20-25 minutes.
