Spiderweb Cupcakes

Orange frosting, black decorator icing, and a toothpick are all it takes to decorate these adorable cupcakes perfect for Halloween!
from mostlyhomemademom.com
Ingredients
- 24 cupcakes, baked and cooled
- orange frosting (you could get away with white also)
- black decorator icing (the kind that comes in a tube at the grocery store)
- skewer or toothpick
- 24 black plastic spiders
Preparation
Step 1
Frost the cupcakes as you would usually. A great tip is to plop about a tablespoon in the center and then hold the knife still, and turn the cupcake instead. That makes it finish a bit smoother on the top.
Snip off the end of the decorator icing tube and make a dot in the center and three circles surrounding it, like a bullseye.
Take the skewer or toothpick and drag straight lines out of the center dot. Repeat this for 5 or 6 straight lines coming out of the center dot, sort of like the spokes of a wheel.
Finish these adorable cupcakes with a spooky plastic spider on top! Those little plastic spider rings would also be cute as a party favor on top. Of course the ones I picked up had to include about one billion in a bag, so the boys have been leaving them all over the house trying to scare me.
