Slow Cooker Cranberry Ribs

Ingredients

  • 2 - tsp ground cumin
  • 2 - tsp. chili powder
  • 2 - tsp brown sugar
  • 3-31/2 -lbs.pork ribs(about 2 racks)
  • 1-16 oz. can whole berry cranberry sauce
  • 1-12 oz jar beef gravy
  • 2 - TBS cider vinegar
  • 2 - TBS brown sugar
  • 1 - tsp salt
  • 1/2 - tsp. crushed red pepper
  • 2 - cloves garlic,finely chopped

Preparation

Step 1

Set oven to broil, heat 15- minutes. Line a broiler pan with foil.
In a small bowl, mix cumin,chili powder & 2 tsp. brown sugar .Rub evenly over ribs.
Place on pan, brown with tops of ribs 4-6 inches from heat for 10-15 minutes, turning once until browned.
Cool slightly, cut into individual ribs.
Place ribs in a slow cooker.
Reserve 1/2- of the cranberry sauce. In a medium bowl, mix remaining cranberry sauce& remaining
ingredients,pour over ribs.
Cover, cook on high for 2 hours & 30 minutes to 3 hours or till ribs are tender.
Stir in reserved cranberry sauce ,stir from bottom of cooker to coat ribs with sauce.
Set slow cooker to low heat to serve.
Ribs will hold on low heat for 2 hours.
