Chocolate Chip Cookie Mix in a Jar

Attach these instructions to the jar:

In a large mixing bowl cream together 2/3 c softened butter, 1 egg, 1 tsp water, and 1/2 tsp vanillauntil light and fluffy. Add contents of jar and mix well. Drop by rounded spoonfuls onto ungreased cookie sheet. Bake at 375* for 8-10 minutes or until lightly browned. Makes 3 dozen cookies. Enjoy!

Ingredients

• 1 1/4 c all purpose flour
• 1/2 tsp baking soda
• 1/2 tsp salt
• 1/2 c firmly packed brown sugar
• 1/3 c white sugar
• 1 c (6 oz) semi-sweet chocolate chips or chunks
• 1/2 c nuts, chopped

Preparation

Step 1

Combine flour, baking soda and salt. Spoon into 1 qt wide mouthed canning jar. Layer remaining ingredients in order given, making sure to clean inside of jar with a dry paper towel if needed. Decore lid and tie on the directions.
