Blueberry Crumble

Ingredients

  • For the Crumble:
  • 1/2 cup rolled oats
  • 3/4 cup flour
  • 1/2 cup light brown sugar
  • 7 Tablespoons softened butter
  • For the Filling:
  • 4 cups blueberries
  • 1/3 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 Tablespoon flour
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice

Preparation

Step 1

1. Preheat the oven to 375F. Butter a 2-quart shallow baking dish or eight 6 ounce ramekins.

2. Put rolled oats, flour and brown sugar in a bowl and whisk.

3. Work in the softened butter with fingers until evenly moistened; set aside.

4. Combine ingredients for filling. If you are using ramekins, double the filling.

5. Transfer the filling to prepared dish and dot with 2 Tablespoons cut-up cold butter.

6. Squeeze handfuls of crumble mixture and scatter on top of the fruit. Bake until golden and bubbly, 40 to 45 minutes. Let sit for 10 minutes before serving.
