Ingredients
- For the Oatmeal Topping:
- 3 of your favorite seasonal pears (Bosch/Asian/Bjon)
- 1/4 cup of light brown sugar
- 1 tsp of water
- 2 TBSP butter (hardened coconut oil may work)
- 1/4 tsp of ground cinnamon
- 1/8 tsp of vanilla extract
- 1 cup of Quick Oats
- 1/4 cup of light brown sugar
- 2 TBSP butter (hardened coconut oil may work)
- Pecans, Peanut or Walnuts (chopped)
- Greek Yogurt
Preparation
Step 1
Makes 6 half pears
In small bowl: combine oats, 1/4 cup of light brown sugar, nuts, and melted butter. Mix well and place on a non-stick bake pan. Bake at 325F for about 15 minutes or until golden brown.
Peel pears, leaving the stem and then cut in half length-wise.
In a large skillet, melt butter in medium-high. Add pears side down and cook until browned or 3 minutes. Turn pears to other side and cook 4 minutes. Add brown sugar, cinnamon and water, mix in swirling the pan. Turn them to the other side and stir in vanilla.
Serve with Oatmeal Topping & Greek yogurt.
